Power up your device, and you wish to activate the Cisco PLR license and connect it via the console.
The system will present you with the EULA.
Accept them proceed with the configuration.
Once you arrive at the last step of Wizard configuration, it will ask you whether you want to manage your device locally. Choose this option when it arrives.
Put the same IP address you used for Wizard configuration into your chosen web browser.
Continue configuring the Wizard for the web interface.
Here, the system will ask you to choose between a 90-day evaluation period without registration or registering the device with Cisco Smart Software Manager. Choose the 90-day option.
A prompt will appear where you will have to choose the option standalone device and then click got it.
After the configuration is complete, your screen will change. You will have to find the Smart License tab and click on it. You will find it on left side of your screen.
After that, the system will take you to a page with a drop-down menu on the right side.
Open it and click on the Switch to Universal PLR option.
The system will take you to a page displaying a “Request Code” and a field to enter an “Authorization Code.” You have to copy the request code and send it to your Cisco representative.
Once the Cisco representative receives the code, they will purchase the license for your device and provide you with the “Authorization Code.”
Enter the “Authorization Code” into the designated field, and the process is complete.
