The HPE Aruba JL701A CX 8360-32Y4C Switch is a high-performance Layer 3 switch. It is part of the Aruba CX 8360 series and is built for enterprise and data center networks.
The switch provides 32 × 1/10/25G SFP28 ports. These ports deliver flexible, high-speed fiber connectivity. It also includes 4 × 40/100G QSFP28 uplink ports for fast aggregation and backbone connectivity.
This model is designed for core and aggregation layers. It also supports spine-leaf architectures in modern data centers.
The JL701A runs on the Aruba AOS-CX operating system. It supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, including VLAN, QoS, IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, OSPF, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN.
The switch delivers up to 2.4 Tbps switching capacity with high forwarding performance. This ensures low latency and efficient traffic handling.
It also supports MACsec encryption on selected ports. This provides secure data transmission across networks.
From a hardware perspective, the switch uses a compact 1U rack-mounted design. It includes dual power supplies and multiple fan modules for high availability. It supports back-to-front airflow, making it suitable for data center deployments.
The JL701A is ideal for enterprise core, aggregation, and data center environments that require high bandwidth, scalability, and secure connectivity.
