The HPE Aruba JL579A CX 8320 Switch is a high-performance Layer 3 switch. It is part of the Aruba CX 8320 series and is designed for enterprise campus core and data center aggregation.
The switch provides 32 × 40G QSFP+ ports. These ports support high-speed connectivity and can be used with breakout cables for flexible deployment.
This model is built for core and aggregation layers. It is also suitable for spine-leaf architectures in modern data center networks.
The JL579A runs on the Aruba AOS-CX operating system. It supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, including VLAN, QoS, IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, OSPF, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN.
The switch delivers up to 2.5 Tbps switching capacity. This ensures high throughput and low latency for demanding workloads.
From a hardware perspective, the switch uses a compact 1U rack-mounted design. It includes 2 hot-swappable power supplies and 5 hot-swappable fan modules for high availability and cooling.
The JL579A is ideal for enterprise core, aggregation, and data center deployments that require high bandwidth, scalability, and reliability.
