Description

The ASUS TUF Gaming AX5400 (SKU: ASUS TUF-AX5400) is a dual-band WiFi 6 gaming router designed for high-performance home and small office networks. It delivers reliable wireless and wired connectivity for gaming, streaming, and device-dense environments.

This router supports the WiFi 6 (802.11ax) standard with combined speeds up to 5400 Mbps. It uses a 4×4 MIMO architecture on the 5GHz band and supports 160 MHz channels. As a result, it improves throughput and network efficiency. In addition, it uses OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies to handle multiple devices simultaneously.

The device includes one dedicated gaming port. Therefore, it prioritizes traffic for connected gaming devices and reduces latency. It also supports Open NAT with simplified port forwarding. This ensures faster setup for online gaming applications.

For wired connectivity, the router supports WAN and LAN aggregation. As a result, it delivers up to 2 Gbps wired throughput between modem and connected devices.

The AX5400 supports ASUS AiMesh. Therefore, it enables scalable mesh networking across multiple compatible routers. It also integrates AiProtection Pro security with WPA3 encryption and parental controls. This enhances network security and device protection.

The hardware design includes optimized cooling with dual heatsinks and fixed antennas. It also supports beamforming for extended coverage. As a result, it improves stability and expands wireless range in large environments.
