The Juniper MX480-PREMIUM3-AC is an AC-powered premium routing system designed for high-performance service provider, enterprise, and cloud edge networks. It is part of the Juniper MX480 MX Series. This chassis supports high-density interfaces and modular line cards. Additionally, it offers advanced Junos OS routing features for scalable and resilient deployments.

This configuration includes PREMIUM3 components, enabling maximum forwarding capacity and large-scale routing tables. It provides full support for features such as MPLS, BGP, EVPN, Segment Routing, and QoS. With redundant AC power supplies and hot-swappable components, the MX480-PREMIUM3-AC ensures carrier-grade reliability and high availability.

The MX480 platform is widely deployed in service provider edge, metro aggregation, and core routing environments. It supports 100 GbE, 400 GbE, and mixed-speed interfaces depending on installed line cards. Moreover, it is compatible with Juniper’s LMIC or MPC line cards for port expansion. You can upgrade it via software licenses to expand routing and interface capacity.
