Description
The Juniper MX10003 is a compact, high-capacity universal edge routing platform engineered for service providers, cloud operators, enterprise WAN edge, and data center interconnect environments. Powered by Junos OS and Juniper’s programmable Trio chipset, the MX10003 delivers advanced routing, switching, and service capabilities with exceptional scalability and efficiency in a space-optimized design.
With a system capacity of up to 2.4 Tbps in a compact 3 RU chassis, the MX10003 provides high-density connectivity supporting up to 144× 10 GbE, 36× 40 GbE, or 24× 100 GbE interfaces per system. This makes it ideal for high-volume internet edge, metro aggregation, peering, broadband network gateway (BNG), and data center gateway deployments.
The platform features a modular architecture with support for MPCs (Modular Port Concentrators) and MICs, enabling flexible interface combinations and “pay-as-you-grow” scalability. It includes dual Routing Engine redundancy, N+1 power supply redundancy, and advanced telemetry for real-time network visibility and automation.
Additionally, the MX10003 supports a wide range of advanced services including IP/MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, EVPN-VXLAN, MACsec encryption, and integrated timing features, making it a future-ready platform for modern cloud-era networking.
