The HPE Aruba Q9G82A Transceiver is a high-speed optical module. It is designed for 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40GbE) connectivity in enterprise and data center networks.
The module uses a QSFP+ form factor. It supports 40GBase-ER4 transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF). It provides a maximum distance of up to 40 km, making it ideal for long-range connections.
The transceiver features a duplex LC connector. It operates on CWDM wavelengths (1270–1330 nm) to deliver stable and efficient data transmission.
This module is commonly used for data center interconnects, campus backbone links, and metro networks. It enables reliable high-speed communication between switches and network devices.
The Q9G82A supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM). This allows real-time tracking of performance and operating conditions.
It is a hot-swappable plug-in module. This makes installation simple and reduces downtime during upgrades or maintenance.
