The HPE Aruba JL857A CX 8325-48Y8C Switch is a high-performance Layer 3 switch. It is part of the Aruba CX 8325 series and is designed for modern data center networks.
The switch provides 48 × 1/10/25G SFP28 ports. These ports deliver high-density connectivity for servers and storage. It also includes 8 × 40/100G QSFP28 uplink ports for fast backbone connections.
This model is ideal for spine-leaf architectures. It can operate as a leaf, aggregation, or core switch. This flexibility supports different network designs.
The JL857A runs on the Aruba AOS-CX operating system. It supports key Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, such as VLAN, QoS, IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, OSPF, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN. These features help improve scalability and traffic control.
The switch includes dual DC power supplies for redundancy. It also uses front-to-back airflow cooling with multiple fan modules. This ensures stable performance in demanding environments.
