The Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4 (ER-4) is a compact, high-performance Layer 3 routing platform designed for enterprise edge, branch office, and ISP deployments. It is part of the EdgeRouter series and delivers advanced routing capabilities with strong throughput and reliability in a small form factor.

The ER-4 features 3× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports and 1× Gigabit SFP port for fiber uplink connectivity. It is powered by a multi-core processor with hardware acceleration, enabling efficient packet processing and support for high-speed routing workloads.

This router supports advanced Layer 3 protocols including BGP, OSPF, RIP, and static routing, making it suitable for WAN edge routing, site-to-site connectivity, and small ISP infrastructure. It also supports NAT, firewall policies, and VPN configurations for secure network deployments.

The ER-4 is designed for both desktop and rack-mount installation (with optional rack kit) and runs EdgeOS, providing CLI and web-based management for full network control and monitoring.
