Description
The Juniper EX3300-48T is a cost-effective, fixed-configuration Layer 2/Layer 3 Ethernet switch. It is designed for enterprise access networks, branch offices, and campus deployments. Powered by Juniper Junos OS, it provides reliable switching and basic routing capabilities. Additionally, there are enterprise-grade features in a compact 1 RU form factor.
This model features 48× 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports for high-density user and device connectivity. Along with these, it offers 4× dual-mode uplink ports (SFP/SFP+) supporting 1 GbE or 10 GbE connections for aggregation or backbone links.
The EX3300-48T supports Virtual Chassis technology. This allows up to 10 switches to be interconnected and managed as a single logical device. Therefore, it significantly simplifies network operations and scaling.
With a switching capacity of ~176 Gbps and a forwarding rate of ~130 Mpps, the switch can efficiently handle enterprise traffic loads. This includes voice, video, and data convergence. It also supports key features such as VLANs, QoS, ACLs, and Layer 3 routing protocols. Because of these, it is suitable for both access and light aggregation roles.
