Cisco Industrial Ethernet (IE) 4000 Series has excellent high bandwidth exchange capabilities and verified Cisco iOS software, can provide Gigabit connections for Cisco GDS. The IE 4000 series provides highly secure access and industry-leading converging ring protocol to support elasticity and scalable networks, while complying with industry compliance requirements. IE 4000 Series is ideal for industrial Ethernet applications that require hardened products, including manufacturing, energy, transportation, and smart cities. IE4000 has built-in SW image verification to ensure the authenticity of Cisco software. The Cisco IE 4000 series has improved overall performance, greater bandwidth, advanced security features, and enhanced hardware. It is the current industrial Ethernet for related Cisco industrial switches (such as Cisco IE 2000, IE 3200, IE 3300 and IE 3400) Supplements to the product portfolio.
IE 4000 Series can extend enterprise networks into harsh environments via software-defined Internet access (IOT) access to the Internet to harsh environments, enabling connection in outdoor area, warehouses, distribution centers, roads, etc. Use powerful enterprise-based integrated network management platforms (such as Cisco Dna Center). The Cisco IE 4000 can easily install a GUI-based device manager, and also provides out-of-the-box industrial configuration and simplified manageability to provide advanced security, data, video, and voice services over industrial networks.
