Description

The Huawei CE8850E-32CQ-EI-B is a high-performance fixed-configuration data center switch from the Huawei CloudEngine 8800 series, designed for leaf/spine architectures in modern cloud and enterprise data center environments requiring ultra-high bandwidth and low latency.

It provides 32 × 100GE QSFP28 ports, enabling high-density 100G connectivity for server access or spine aggregation, along with 1 × 10GE SFP+ management/service port depending on hardware configuration.

This switch is engineered for cloud data centers, AI clusters, and large-scale enterprise networks, where high throughput, scalability, and non-blocking performance are critical.

It supports advanced data center networking technologies including:

• VXLAN for network virtualization
• EVPN (software-dependent)
• M-LAG for active-active redundancy
• BFD for fast link failure detection
• Segment routing and advanced traffic engineering (feature-dependent)

From a hardware perspective:

• 1U high-density chassis design
• Dual power supply slots with 1+1 redundancy support
• Hot-swappable fan modules with front-to-back or back-to-front airflow options
• Designed for rack-scale data center deployment with high reliability (carrier-grade MTBF)

Key performance characteristics:

• Optimized for 100GE leaf/spine fabric architectures
• Ultra-low latency switching architecture
• High forwarding performance suitable for cloud-scale workloads

The CE8850E-32CQ-EI-B is typically deployed in:

• Data center leaf/spine layers
• Cloud infrastructure and private cloud environments
• High-performance computing (HPC) and AI clusters
• Enterprise core aggregation networks
