The HPE 843199-B21 is a Smart Array P840ar/2GB FBWC 12Gb 2-port Internal SAS Controller for HPE server storage configurations. It is intended for businesses, system integrators and procurement teams that need an internal controller with SAS and SATA drive support.
The controller provides 2 GiB of flash-backed write cache (FBWC), which is cache protected by flash-based technology. It has 16 SAS/SATA physical links across two internal x8 ports and supports 12Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SATA technology.
843199-B21 supports mix-and-match SAS and SATA drives on the same controller. It supports RAID and HBA mode, along with legacy and UEFI boot operation. RAID options listed for this controller are RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, 50, 6, 60 and 10 ADM.
