The HPE Aruba JL705C CX 8360-48Y6C Switch is a high-performance Layer 3 switch. It is part of the Aruba CX 8360 series and is designed for data center and campus core or aggregation layers.
The switch provides 48 × 1/10/25G SFP28 ports for high-density server and storage connectivity. It also includes 6 × 40/100G QSFP28 uplink ports for high-speed backbone connections. This combination supports flexible and scalable network designs.
It is commonly deployed in spine-leaf architectures. The switch can operate as a leaf, aggregation, or core device, depending on the network design.
The JL705C runs on the Aruba AOS-CX operating system. It supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, including VLAN, QoS, IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, OSPF, VRF, and VXLAN. These features enable efficient and scalable network operations.
From a hardware perspective, the switch includes redundant AC power supplies and front-to-back airflow cooling with multiple fan modules. This ensures high availability and stable performance in demanding environments.
