The Fortinet FN‑TRAN‑SFP28‑SR is a high‑performance SFP28 optical transceiver module designed to deliver reliable 25 GbE or 10 GbE fiber connectivity over multimode fiber (MMF) links in enterprise and data‑center environments. Supporting 25GBase‑SR and 10GBase‑SR standards, it enables short‑reach optical links up to ~100 m on OM4 multimode fiber with an 850 nm VCSEL laser, making it ideal for high‑speed uplinks and switch interconnects in Fortinet NGFWs, switches, and other compatible networking equipment.
This hot‑pluggable SFP28 module uses a duplex LC connector and complies with IEEE 802.3by (25 GbE) and IEEE 802.3ae (10 GbE) standards, providing flexible support for legacy 10 GbE ports and newer 25 GbE interfaces where available.
