The rate of the aggregation layer is 50 Gbps and 100 Gbps.  The platform provides customers with investment protection, large buffers, huge layer 2 and layer 3 scalability and performance, and can meet the changing needs of highly virtualized automated cloud environments in data centers. Platform hardware supports the Cisco Data Center Interconnect (DCI) function, thereby achieving flexible workload mobility and LAN and SAN fusion.
