Description
The ASUS RS500A-E11-RS12U (SKU: RS500A-E11-RS12U) is a high-density 1U rack server designed for data center, cloud, and software-defined storage environments. It uses a single-socket AMD EPYC architecture and focuses on high NVMe storage density with efficient compute performance.
This platform supports a single AMD EPYC 7002/7003 series processor using Socket SP3. As a result, it delivers high core density and efficient performance for virtualization, storage, and cloud workloads. In addition, it includes 16 DDR4 DIMM slots. It supports LRDIMM memory up to 4TB with speeds up to 3200 MT/s. Therefore, it enables scalable memory capacity for enterprise applications.
The server features 12× 2.5″ drive bays with support for SATA and NVMe drives. It uses an integrated storage controller with SATA 6Gb/s and PCIe Gen4 x4 connectivity. As a result, it provides high-speed, low-latency storage for data-intensive workloads. In addition, it includes 2× internal M.2 connectors for OS or boot drives.
For networking, the system integrates an Intel I350-AM2 dual-port 1GbE RJ45 controller. It also supports OCP 3.0 network modules. Therefore, it enables flexible network expansion for different deployment requirements.
The platform supports PCIe 4.0 expansion with multiple slots, including 1× PCIe Gen4 x16 (FH,HL), 1× PCIe Gen4 x16 (LP,HL), and 1× PCIe Gen4 x8 (LP,HL). As a result, it allows installation of additional network adapters, storage controllers, or accelerators.
For reliability, the server includes dual redundant power supplies. It also features a dedicated RJ45 management port for remote monitoring and management. Therefore, it ensures high availability and efficient system control.
This system is suitable for virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, and software-defined storage. It is fully tested and ready for reuse, making it a cost-effective solution for enterprise deployments.
