The Cisco Catalyst C9300-24S-A is a Layer 3 managed enterprise switch with 24 1 Gigabit Ethernet SFP fibre ports, modular uplinks and the Network Advantage software tier. It is designed for organisations that need fibre access, advanced IPv4 and IPv6 routing, switch stacking and policy-based networking across campus, branch and aggregation environments.
This Cisco C9300-24S-A datasheet identifies a switching capacity of 208 Gbps, a forwarding rate of 154.76 Mpps and support for Cisco StackWise-480. The platform provides up to 688 Gbps of stacking bandwidth and also supports Cisco StackPower.
Network Advantage enables advanced Layer 3 routing, security, automation and policy capabilities. The switch is also ready for Software-Defined Access and is built on an x86 CPU architecture with 8 GB of DRAM and 16 GB of flash memory for enterprise network operations.
The C9300-24S-A provides 24 SFP-based fibre access ports and does not provide PoE power on those interfaces. Its uplink configuration is modular, allowing the required network module to be selected separately for the planned uplink speed and density.

The C9300-24S-A is intended for networks that require 24 fibre access interfaces, modular uplink selection and the advanced routing and policy functions associated with Network Advantage. Typical deployment settings include:
SFP transceivers, uplink modules and stack accessories are not automatically included for every deployment. Buyers should select compatible optics separately and validate Cisco optic support against the intended IOS XE release.
Supported modular uplink choices include the C9300-NM-4G with four 1GE interfaces, C9300-NM-8X with eight 10GE interfaces, C9300-NM-2Q with two 40G interfaces and C9300-NM-4M with four Multigigabit interfaces. The required module depends on the planned uplink speed and port density.
A complete bill of materials should account for the switch, Cisco DNA term, support, uplink module, optics, stack cables, StackPower accessories, power supplies, regional cords and rack requirements. Confirm AC or DC requirements, power redundancy and the required power-supply SKUs before ordering.
The principal distinction between C9300-24S-A and C9300-24S-E is the software tier: C9300-24S-A uses Network Advantage, while C9300-24S-E uses Network Essentials. Gear Net Technologies supplies Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches, optics and licences for business and integration projects in the UAE and Middle East.
The C9300-24S-A is a Layer 3 managed Cisco Catalyst 9300 switch with 24 1 Gigabit Ethernet SFP fibre ports, modular uplinks and the Network Advantage software tier.
No. Its access interfaces are SFP fibre ports, and available PoE power is not applicable.
SFP transceivers are not automatically included for every deployment. Select the required optics separately and validate support against the intended IOS XE release.
Yes. It supports Cisco StackWise-480 with stacking bandwidth of up to 688 Gbps, as well as Cisco StackPower.
Both models provide 24 1G SFP ports with modular uplinks. The C9300-24S-A uses Network Advantage, while the C9300-24S-E uses Network Essentials.
