N9K-C93108TC-FX – Cisco Nexus 9000 Series

The Cisco Nexus 9300-EX and 9300-FX platforms are based on Cisco Cloud Scale technology and are the next generation of fixed Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches.  The new platform supports cost-effective cloud-scale deployment, more endpoints, and cloud services with wire-speed security and telemetry.  The platform is based on a modern system architecture and aims to provide high performance and meet the evolving needs of highly scalable data centers and growing companies.

Related:

The Cisco Nexus 9300-EX and 9300-FX platform switches provide multiple interface options to transparently migrate existing data centers from 100 Mbps, 1- Gbps, and 10 Gbps speeds to 25 Gbps and 10 and 40-aggregation on servers The Gbps speed of the layer reaches 50 and 100 Gbps.

The platform provides customers with investment protection, large buffers, highly flexible layer 2 and layer 3 scalability and performance, which can meet the changing needs of virtualized data centers and automated cloud environments. The platform hardware is able to collect comprehensive Cisco Tetration Analytics™ telemetry information at wire speed on all ports without adding any delay to data packets or negatively affecting switch performance.

By default, this telemetry information is directly exported from the switch’s application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) every 100 milliseconds.  This information contains three types of data:  Flow information: This information contains information about endpoints, protocols, ports, flow start time, flow activation time, etc.

Inter-packet changes: This information captures any inter-packet changes in the flow.  Examples include changes in time to live (TTL), IP and TCP flags, payload length, etc.   Context detailed information: Context information is derived from outside the packet header, including changes in buffer utilization, packet discards in the flow, association with tunnel endpoints, etc.
