Description

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR550 (SKU: LENOVOSR550004) is a 2U rack server designed for enterprise and SMB environments. It belongs to the SR500 series and targets virtualization, collaboration, and general-purpose workloads.

This configuration uses an Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 processor (6 cores, 1.9 GHz) with 16GB TruDDR4 memory. As a result, it delivers reliable entry-level compute performance. In addition, the platform supports up to 2× Intel Xeon Scalable processors and scales memory up to 768GB across 12 DIMM slots. This enables efficient scaling for growing workloads.

The system provides flexible storage architecture. It supports 8× 2.5″ hot-swap drive bays in this configuration. Moreover, the SR550 platform supports up to 16× 2.5″ or 12× 3.5″ drives. It also supports SAS, SATA, and optional NVMe configurations, along with M.2 boot drives. Therefore, it improves both performance and deployment flexibility.

For storage control, this SKU includes a RAID 730i controller with 1GB cache. As a result, it enables hardware RAID functionality and enhances data protection and performance.
