Description
The Huawei CloudEngine S5735‑S48T4X is a high‑performance managed Ethernet switch engineered for enterprise campus access, branch offices, and aggregation layers. Designed on Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), this model delivers robust Layer 2 and basic Layer 3 capabilities with flexible uplink options and scalable connectivity. It features 48 × 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 downlink ports and 4 × 10 GE SFP+ uplink ports for high‑speed backbone integration and aggregation. The device boasts switching capacity up to 432 Gbps with forwarding performance around 132 Mpps, enabling efficient data flow in demanding network environments. It supports comprehensive VLAN, routing (static, RIP, OSPF, BGP), and security features such as 802.1X authentication, ACLs, MAC filtering, DHCP snooping, and ARP inspection for secure and segmented networks. The platform also supports intelligent stacking (iStack) to create a virtual chassis of multiple switches, simplifying topology management and boosting redundancy. Dual pluggable power module slots allow flexible power configurations with optional AC/DC modules (not included with the base SKU). Huawei’s rich management suite includes CLI, Web GUI, SNMP, and RMON for complete network control and monitoring.
