The Juniper QFX5100-48S is a high-performance, low-latency data center Ethernet switch designed for top-of-rack (ToR), access, aggregation, and spine-leaf deployments. Powered by Juniper’s Junos OS, it delivers advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities, including support for virtualization, automation, and scalable network fabrics.
This fixed-configuration 1 RU switch features 48 SFP+ ports supporting 1 GbE and 10 GbE connectivity, along with 6 QSFP+ ports that provide 40 GbE uplinks or can be broken out into 4×10 GbE interfaces, offering flexible port scaling up to 72×10 GbE connections.
With a switching capacity of up to 1.44 Tbps and ultra-low latency, the QFX5100-48S is optimized for high-density server connectivity, cloud environments, and virtualization workloads. It supports advanced deployment architectures such as Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric (VCF), QFabric, and spine-leaf fabrics, making it a flexible building block for modern data center networks.
