Description

The Cisco VS‑S2T‑10GXL is a high‑performance Supervisor Engine 2T module designed for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series and Catalyst 6807‑XL chassis. This advanced supervisor delivers up to 2 Tbps of crossbar switch fabric with 26 fabric channels, providing robust control plane processing and enhanced network services for large enterprise and service provider networks. It features integrated uplink interfaces including 2×10 Gigabit Ethernet (X2) and 3×1 GbE SFP ports, a 1000BASE‑T management port (RJ‑45) and supports Cisco IOS Software for a rich set of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, routing, and security protocols.

The XL version expands memory and forwarding scale, enabling support for larger routing and ACL tables, extensive QoS entries, and high performance under heavy loads. This supervisor engine is ideal for core and distribution layers of legacy Catalyst 6500 deployments that still power critical network infrastructure.
